Passionate and versatile music educator with nearly 20 years of experience teaching band, orchestra, and guitar at the middle school, high school, and university levels. Dave began his career as a band director and has successfully led concert ensembles, taught brass and woodwinds, and developed well-rounded music programs across diverse school settings.
Dave currently teaches orchestra at Governor’s Village STEM Academy and both orchestra and guitar at Providence High School in Charlotte, NC. He’s deeply committed to building student-centered programs that promote musical excellence, leadership, and access for all learners.
He’s also an active professional bassist in the Charlotte music scene playing with bands and orchestras of every genre and performing in clubs and concert venues everywhere. Dave regularly serves as a clinician and mentor for students across the region. Currently completing a Doctor of Music Education (D.M.E.), my research focuses on equity, access, and impact in public school music programs.
